As we rapidly approach 2006 (well, no more rapidly than time moves at any other particular moment), I feel the pressing need to remind you all to get into your shelters, which I hope are fully stocked.
With the leap second almost upon us, surely the planes will fall from the sky, the Internets will go dark, and I won’t get to watch a repeat of 24 at 12:35 AM because television stations around the world will fail.
So close the blast doors, get out the canned food, wind up your crank-powered radios and party like it’s whatever year it will be when the leap second kills us all.
