Even If It Were Secret, This Is How He Could Know

John Dunshee wonders how the attorney for a suspected terrorist could possibly know if his office was searched in secret.

Well, the attorneys for non-terrorist Brandon Mayfield also once alleged that Mayfield’s home had been searched in secret. And it turned out they were correct.

Which is not to say that the allegations in this case automatically are true. It’s just to say that experience has already shown that if it did happen, he might very well be able to tell.

Just because something is done in secret doesn’t mean it’s done by people smart enough to leave no trace of their actions.
