It Won’t Work
I notice that Phil Standford didn’t apologize for being wrong. Color me unsurprised, since he never does.
It’d also be nice if KGW didn’t report that Boyles and Tate appear to have violated the new publicly-financed campaign law, when what their paperwork seems to show is a violation of the existing state laws which govern all candidates.
My friends keep bitching that Portland Communique is dead. But, really, all you media people should stop being idiots just to try to goad me into bringing it back. It won’t work.

“when what their paperwork seems to show is a violation of the existing state laws which govern all candidates.”
Are you saying that there is nothing explicit in the VOE law that prohibits the alleged problems with Tate’s and Boyles’ paperwork?

No, I’m saying VOE is irrelevant to the matter of what these campaigns did.

Phil was wrong about how easy it would be to qualify for Voter-Owned funds, but also in this article he incorrectly states that both Tate and Boyles have been certified for VOE funds.
Only Boyles has received any VOE funds, and those will likely be revoked when/if fraud is proven.
