Oh!  I thought that said "one-&lt;em&gt;named&lt;/em&gt;" figure.

Seriously though, I wonder how much influence the blogs will have in the upcoming election.  People in Portland, God bless 'em, are way more interested in their organic chicken breasts and pooping in their gas tanks (to borrow a phrase) than they are in their elected officials.  Or perhaps their elected officials are truly a reflection of themselves.

Would you say things are any different since the demise of the Communique?  It seems as though Jack hasn't changed the direction of the council one iota (see yesterday's vote and the coming votes on the couplet and convention center hotel) despite his status as "must read" among all Portland politicos.
