Buffy Is A Browncoat
Dark Horse has posted their five-page preview of their forthcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic, intended to be the canon “eighth season” follow-up to the seven-season television series. That preview of course ended up linked on WHEDONesque.
And then someone there asked, “Is it my own wishful thinking, or is Buffy sporting a Serenity shirt??? It looks strikingly similar to Chinese.”
That thought had struck me as well, but I had blown it off and brushed it aside. So I went back to the fourth page of the preview, pulled down a copy of the Serenity logo which I had stored away, and made an easy comparison image.
There’s no question. Buffy is a Browncoat. And it’s an Easter egg destined to cause quite the fandom stir.
