Metroblogging Portland points to a Portland Business Journal article reporting that Tom Moyer seeks a new 35-story downtown office building. It would appear to necessitate the razing of Virginia Cafe, a staple and icon which survived the Vera Katz “Park Avenue District” plan, edging out the proposal by the Park Blocks Foundation which would have doomed Virginia Cafe. Oddly, when the Katz plan came forward, Moyer reportedly did an “about face” to support it. Anyone want to ask him what’s up with doing an “about face” back around again?
