Team Potter Admits To Being Lazy
So it seems that at least one of the voters’ pamphlet “arguments” from Team Potter uses outdated data regarding City bureaus and office space. Caught doing so, Patricia McCaig blames Theo for not writing anything on the issue since an article in 2005 from which Team Potter took their figures. “I wish you’d updated that story,” McCaig is quoted as saying. “That was the last piece of public information that was available to us.” Of course, if current data was available to the paper for use in today’s article (which it was), it also was available for use by Team Potter. But getting the current data would have undermined their argument. So maybe it wasn’t laziness after all, but something more deliberate.
