So I was heading over to see this story about A-Rod cheating on his wife, and discovered that the website of the NY Post now appears to be owned by one of those domain farms. It’s like a double feature of laugh-out-loud goodness.
We once again are taking orders for Can’t Stop The Serenity posters and t-shirts, while supplies last. Proceeds from the sale of these posters and shirts go to Equality Now, the charity-of-choice for the Can’t Stop The Serenity events. The poster is a standard 27″ x 40″ full color one-sheet, with a list of the participating cities for 2007 in a “credit block” at the bottom. The standard t-shirt, in sizes S to 4XL, is a 100%-cotton Hanes black tagless, with the participating cities listed on the back in “tour” fashion. The “women’s cut” t-shirt, in sizes S to 2XL, is a 100%-cotton Hanes black scoop-neck, with the participating cities listed on the back in “tour” fashion. These items are available for purchase while supplies last. If supplies should last until the charity screenings themselves, a limited number will be available for purchase at the shows, but available sizes cannot be guaranteed. And while you’re at it, don’t forget to buy your tickets to one — or both! — screenings.
Apparently when God speaks to Tom DeLay, the divine message isn’t to be repentant for being a corrupt schmuck. Rather, the Lord’s commandment is “to devote [himself] to rebuilding the conservative base of the Republican Party”.
“We’d like to invite you to share your favorite ways of reminding your Yankee fan friends just how sorry their team is,” writes Ben Gellman-Chomsky over on Extra Bases. But if you read the item, what you’ll find is that as sorry as the team itself is these days, it’s their fans who are the truly sorry lot. What the Yankees are going through right now is one of those moments that define who and what the fans of a team truly are. And once again, Yankee fans are showing their true colors as whiny and petulant brats who only support their team if the team is providing them with their God-given entitlement to win. In the end, Yankee fans are only Yankee fans when blessed by a constant supply of shiny toys. Red Sox fans, on the other hand, are Red Sox fans until the day they die, come what may and no matter what. And they’ve been through much worse than Yankee fans are going through right now. So quit your bitching, Yankee fans. It just shows the baseball world that you’re nothing more than spoiled brats.
