Who Gave The Final $100,000?
Anna Griffin reports that according to the Portland Business Alliance, Team Potter spent almost $100,000 more on Curiously-Strong Mayor than they thus far have reported.
“[I]t’s perfectly legal for them to delay reporting donations until the last possible minute,” she writes. “But it’s also an interesting strategy from a campagin linked with Mayor Tom Potter, the city’s loudest champion of open, transparent government and the guy who won his office on $25 and $100 contributions two years ago.” (A point I’ve been making almost since the beginning, as anyone at Acme weeks ago who saw me yell at Kyle Chisek can attest.)
That last $100, 000 or so will be intersting to see, since it all would have come in since the 8th of May — the final week of the campaign. Can’t wait to see the names and amounts.
