Nobody Pouts Going Into A Jiggy

Cruising For a Bruising

“Nobody likes to receive abuse for doing something nice for others,” someone posted online recently. While this is true, it’s not an accurate description of an event which purports to be “a professionally-run event organized by fans” when those behind it have demonstrated inadequate pre-planning, poor project management skills, and a lack of considering it a high priority for their time. When large sums of other people’s money are involved, it isn’t merely “doing something nice for others”. It’s a business. When the people spending those large sums of money levy criticism or raise concerns, it isn’t “abuse”. It’s exercising their rights as customers.
