Who’s Shroomin’ Who?
At the back corner of the store, where a blanket is nailed up to cover the doorway leading to the back stairs leading to the basement (an artifact of the days when the back room’s heater was not being repaired, and there was a draft coming up from downstairs) now grows a crop of unsettling-looking mushrooms, amidst the damp and soggy environs of the carpet, created by the leak somewhere in the roof above.
